This course is designed for adults who wish to train for a career in holistic therapy. You will also study both Indian Head Massage and Stone Massage Therapy. The course will include; Practical and Theory of Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy Techniques, The Origins and Content of Aromatherapy Oils, Blending and Using Oils, The Importance of Client Care and Consultation, Health and Safety, Client Reception, Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body (in order to fully comprehend the effects of) Holistic treatments, Reflective Practice, Maths and English.
Name: Level 3 Diploma Complementary Therapies Qualification title: Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Continual assessment forms the basis of this course. Students will be tested regularly throughout the year, usually on a module or subject basis. This helps to build up a portfolio of evidence to prove competence and a full understanding of the underpinning knowledge of the subjects. There will also be externally set examinations. Practically, students are required to show competence in treating a wide range of clients and to show the ability to analyse the affects of treatments over a period through case studies. An acceptable professional level is required, in all areas, in order to gain certification. Students may also be required to demonstrate their skills during a client session to an external verifier, where staff members are also monitored for their fairness and accuracy in assessing students.
