Connect 3 is a one year full time course for learners with profound and multiple learning difficulties and physical disabilities. All learners have at least 1:1 support throughout their college day which begins at 10.00 and ends at 2.30. The course runs for 5 days a week and 36 weeks a year. Assessment is by way of individual learning goals which are set half termly and monitored on a daily basis. Connect 3 learners also access accredited learning such as the City & Guilds Certificate in Personal Progress at Entry Level 1. Learner progress will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year. Communication books allow us to keep in daily contact with parents and carers advising them of their young person's learning achievements, what they've had to eat and drink and details of any medication administered. Parents can also share news and progress at home with us so that we can gain a full picture of each learner.
