As an Academy student you will benefit from competitive matches and practical sessions either on site, or at other local facilities, as an integral part of this course. Being part of the Hadlow College Sports Academy will give you the opportunity to develop the skills needed for employment within the sports and fitness industries.  This course will give you an understanding of why fitness and nutrition is important and help you assess your own levels. You will also benefit from taking part in the planning and running of a sporting event, undertaking risk assessments to prevent injury and reviewing your leadership role.  Ideally suited to students who would like to gain a qualification whilst continuing to develop their performance levels, this course provides you with the theory based principles that relate to practical activities. Throughout the two years you will gain an understanding of sports coaching, be able to analyse sports performance and learn how to organise professional sporting event. As part of the Charlton Athletic Football Academy, students will, in addition, undertake competitive football matches and have the opportunity to gain FA Level 1 professional coaching certificates.
