Enabling you to develop practical skills and knowledge which are needed in a wide variety of animal management related jobs, this course takes full advantage of the range of species housed in our custom built animal management unit. Throughout the two years you will undertake a work placement of 1 day per week and gain an insight into future careers. You will also carry out approximately 10 weekend and holiday days at the unit to further develop your practical skills, and in your second year, be required to supervise other students during routine duties. Successful students can progress into higher education with the FdSc or BSc (Hons) programmes. Alternatively they can pursue a career in industry at a technical or supervisory level. Applicants wishing to pursue a career as a veterinary surgeon through studying a degree in Veterinary Science at one of the UK veterinary colleges are advised to contact the relevant university regarding specific entry requirements prior to starting an Animal Management course at Hadlow.
