This course provides the opportunity for artistic students to develop their own skills and achieve relevant qualifications to help them progress into a career within the creative industry. Some of the units we will cover are; Ideas and concepts in Art and Design, Mixed Media image making, Printed textiles, visual recording in art and design, communication through art and design, developing and realising design crafts ideas. Learners will work with a Job Coach to secure external work placements in an area which suits their future aspirations and will be encouraged to reach a level of independence appropriate to them and a range of activities are available to support their development. Learners will take part in an Exploring Futures programme which looks at the skills and experiences needed to reach their potential.
