The apprenticeship covers those people working in hospitals in a support capacity covering a range of areas e.g. domestic, administration, corporate and estates. Duties may include cleaning, housekeeping, catering, porterage etc. Healthcare support workers play a vital role in the smooth running of healthcare services and this apprenticeship has been designed in consultation with representative from the sector to offer flexibility and an entry route into a wide range of NHS careers.
