Creative Media Production (Radio) Subsidiary Diploma

You will be studying 7 units over 1 academic year- focusing on areas of radio and audio production. The first six weeks include a probationary period where we have a chance to assess you on a unit of work and you can also assess whether it is the right course for you. If you have not achieved your English Language at a grade C- then you will need to study this along the Subsidiary Diploma. Examples of Units and projects you will be studying are: - Pre-Production Techniques for the Creative Media Industries - Communication Skills for Creative Media Production - Research Techniques for the Creative Media Industries - Scriptwriting for Radio - Radio Drama - Music-Based Programming - Commercial Production for Radio - Factual Programme Production Techniques for Radio

Name: Creative Media Production (Radio) Subsidiary Diploma Qualification title: Subsidiary Diploma in Creative Media Production (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You must complete all 7 Units over the 1 academic year programme in order to achieve the full Subsidiary Diploma. Most units have 10 credits attached to them- some have 5. You need to achieve a minimum of 60 credits in total- and have successfully completed the 3 mandatory Units. Assessment is via practical assignments- course work- presentations and class work in each unit. You will be awarded a 'Pass'- 'Merit' or 'Distinction' grade for each completed Unit. You do not need to purchase any specialist equipment- as it will all be provided for you. However- you will need stationery and a memory stick for your academic work. Good levels of English and Maths are important for your success in your course- your chosen vocation and life. Throughout your course you will continue to develop your English and Maths skills in your vocational classes. If you haven£‰ã¢t achieved an A*-C grade in English or Maths at GCSE- or a Level 2 Functional Skill- you will also be working towards a qualification in English or Maths at a level that will enable you to progress towards these grades. If you have Learning Difficulty or Disability please let us know when you apply. You will be offered support in your interview. If you need help completing your application we can help with this too.
