The aim of this course is to provide practical skills that may be transferred to a business environment. Units studied include: Year 1: The business environment, business resources, marketing, business communication, business accounting, managing a business event, internet marketing in business, developing teams in business and creative product promotion. Year 2: management accounting, understanding retailing, starting a small business, recruitment and selection in business, human resource management in business and aspects of the legal system and law making process, career development and impact of communication technology on business.
