The programme works towards achieving the Level 2 Diploma covering: • Facials - Facial Cleansing, Toning & Moisturising, Skin Analysis, Face, Neck and Shoulder Massage, Mask Application; • Eye Treatments - Eyebrow shaping, lash and brow tinting & application of false lashes; • Make-Up - Application of make-up- Day, Evening & Special Occasion; • Manicure - Hand & Nail treatment including deluxe treatments & correct application of polishes; • Pedicure - Foot & Nail treatment including deluxe treatments & correct application of polishes; • Depilation â€" Waxing techniques; • Salon Management and product & treatment sales techniques; • Health & Safety in the work place; • Anatomy & Physiology; • Plus additional units. On successful completion of the qualification followed by a personal interview and trade test candidates may progress to any of the following:- Advanced Diploma in Beauty Therapy:- • Body Massage • Facial & Body Electrics • Anatomy & Physiology • Salon Effectiveness Spa Treatments. Complementary Therapies:- • Body massage • Aromatherapy • Reflexology Consultation Techniques • Anatomy and Physiology • Health and Safety. Functional Skills are integrated into the programmes for both Level 2 and 3. Achievement is through continual assessment of practical aspects, external end tests, project and portfolio work.
