Basic welding programmes are designed to suit the needs of the individual person in any of the following choices: Gas Welding, Manual Metal Arc Welding, Metal Arc Gas Shielded Welding, Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding. For persons wanting to join the programme, the evening only, one night per week course offers the City & Guilds 3268 Introductory Welding Skills. This is a programme with a certificate at the end of each unit. Award Structure 3268-101 & 201 Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA) L1 & L2 3268-102 & 202 Oxy-acetylene Welding (OXY) L1 & L2 3268-103 Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding (TIG) L1 3268-203 Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding (TIG Aluminium) L2 3268-104 & 204 Metal Arc Gas Shielded Welding (MIG) L1 & L2 3268-204 Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding (TIG Steel) 3268-299 Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding (TIG Stainless Steel) L2 Part time day programmes are structured in a similar way to the evening only programme and may be available on request.
