This 16 week intensive programme covers keyboard skills and the use of Microsoft Office to achieve the OCR Level 2 Text Processing Diploma using Word and PowerPoint and the Level 1 ITQ Certificate using Word Outlook and Excel. Units covered are Text Legal Text Audio Word and Medical Word Processing Mail Merge PowerPoint Document Presentation Speed Keying Computer Keyboard Skills File Management Email Word and Spreadsheets. The course is suitable for students wishing to learn new skills as well as those needing to update and/or formalise their skills by obtaining professional qualifications to enable them to enter the workplace. The classes are designed to fit within school hours. The course timetable can be amended to meet the requirements of those in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance.
