The specification is divided into topics, each covering different key concepts of biology. Teaching of practical skills is integrated with the theoretical topics and they are assessed through 2 written papers both are 90 minutes in duration. Module 1 is 'the development of practical skills in biology, and module 2 is Foundations in biology. Students who follow this course are able to progress onto the A2 course of study in Biology.
