You will be regularly assessed, with work marked promptly and feedback given. The unit assessment is internally set and marked through practical observations and theoretical assignments. Examples of assessments methods used on this programme include observations, presentations, reports and posters. GCSE-Retakes You will be retaking your GCSE Maths and English, if you did not achieve Grade C in any of these subjects, as part of your course to enable you to progress onto Level-3 qualifications. West Ham United Football Learning Academy Opportunity to be chosen for a one off prestigious opportunity to join the Newham College & West Ham United Football Learning Academy. Pre-season programme and gain coaching qualifications. Work Experience opportunity As part of the programme you will conduct a two week work placement in a Sport or Fitness environment. This will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge into a practical work setting. Assignments will also be completed in relation to your work placement. Volunteer Hours You will have the opportunity to complete 30 hours working with the college sport enrichment team in supporting sport events, weekly sport and exercise enrichment sessions and supporting activities in the fitness suite. Enrichment Activities A range of Enrichment activities are incorporated within the programme. Examples of Enrichment activities conducted are sport activities, workshops, outings and debates.
