The Advanced Diploma in Early Years, is a BTEC qualification that can lead straight to university or into employment. While some aspects of this course are essential to study, there will be an option to choose from a variety of specialist topics depending on what interests you the most. Your knowledge and skills will also be enhanced by numerous activities outside the classroom. There will be elements sport, practical workshops, outings and debates. You will also need to do some compulsory work placements within an Early Years setting. This additional experience will give you an opportunity to apply your knowledge and understanding in the workplace. Some time will be allocated for independent study, so that you can complete assignments, do homework, reading and research to enhance your learning. Tutorials will take place to support your success. This can be done one to one with your course tutor or within a small group. Tutors are available at flexible times, so you can arrange to have tutorials during the day or evening. Your course tutor will work with you to set realistic targets that you can achieve, with planning and effort. Your targets will be monitored weekly by your tutor and yourself.
