An opportunity to further explore the response of artists to the rapid development of the USA in the first half of the Twntieth Century. We will look in more detail at the Ashcan painters, the Regionalists, the Harlem Renaissance, the Photo League, New Deal art, the Mexican Muralists and the early development of the Abstract Expressionists.
