This workshop is an ideal and enjoyable introduction to upholstery, during which you will work with traditional hand tools and materials to stuff and cover a drop-in seat chair or stool. You will learn how to strip back the frame, then build up a hair pad using webbing, coconut fibre, hessian, linterfelt and calico. You will go home with a finished seat plus newly-acquired upholstery skills. All stuffing materials will be available. Each student is provided with a set of tools for the course. Bring a drop in seat for a chair or stool. NB: a drop-in chair is where the seat pad can be pushed out of the chair or stool frame. If travelling light, just bring the pad and fabric.
