These courses are for young people who: • Are leaving school with little or no GCSE qualifications • Are not certain of what vocational area to move into • Need a bit more support with English and Maths • Need to develop their confidence and other social skills • Need more 1-2-1 support and steadier progression These courses are called Preparation for Vocation (Prep 4) and we offer a range of year-long Prep 4 courses that prepare you for progressing onto a vocational programme. You can choose from a range of vocational areas including catering, health and social care, ICT, motor vehicle, construction, hair and beauty and creative arts. As part of the course you will also work on employability skills, English, Maths and ICT. Courses are available at a range of levels from Entry 2 to Level 2 and once you have been for an informal interview and assessment, we will make sure that you are put on the right course for you. Once you have completed this course, you will be able to progress onto higher level courses or into employment.
