AQA GCE AS Chemistry

The AS course is studied in year 12 and is examined in the summer. The AS content covers the fundamental principles that are the basis of chemistry. Familiar ideas are taken from GCSE and extended on – including atomic structure, bonding and chemical calculations. Organic Chemistry is also studied in detail and the analysis of compounds will also be investigated. You will carry out various practical activities that will assess your skills.
