Duration : 2 years The course aims to encourage development of the knowledge',' understanding and methods required by today's graphic designers. It gives equal emphasis to both traditional and computerbased practice',' with the aim of preparing you for a range of career opportunities in the design industry. The delivery of the course enables design problem solving and other transferable skills to be developed. Strong tutorial support is provided throughout the course. Subjects studied include Design with Computer Applications Design Context and Analysis Design for Digital Media Graphic Design with Typography Illustration Methodology Photography Visual Communication Website Design Self Devised Final Major Project Assessment is continuous over a range of tasks/ assignments in each module. Entry Requirements: You need a BTEC National Diploma in a design-based subject',' the Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design',' or a Level 3 such as A-Levels or Access to HE in a relevant subject. Mature applicants (those over 21 years of age at the start of the course) are welcomed with a portfolio of artwork and relevant experience. All applicants will be interviewed and asked to present a suitable portfolio of their work at interview.
