Duration : 1 year You will be working on creative projects in a variety of art and design studios. The projects will teach you skills you will need for a range of possible careers. You will be supported at every step whilst you explore different materials and techniques such as drawing',' painting',' print-making',' 3D design and making',' photography and digital design. Contextual studies run throughout the course',' in which you sill study the work of other artists and designers. Your creative',' technical and employability skills will be developed throughout the course. You will be expected to study English and Maths alongside your art qualification if you have not yet achieved C grades at GCSE. Entry Requirements: You need four GCSEs at D or above',' or equivalent',' including English language',' maths and an art and design subject. Alternatively you may also progress onto this course if you achieve our Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design and functional skills qualifications in English and maths. You will be required to attend an interview with your portfolio of art and design work to demonstrate your practical and creative skills. You also need a positive recommendation or reference from your school/tutor. Career Options: If you achieve a merit or above you can progress onto a Level 3 Extended Diploma in subjects such as art and design',' creative media production',' fashion and clothing',' graphic design and photography.
