The course aims to give you both a practical and theoretical understanding of music and the music industry through a variety of study units: Unit 1: Music Performance Brief Learners plan, prepare and deliver a musical performance from start to finish. Unit 4: Music Composition Brief (Externally Assessed) Learners explore music theory and its application through composition. They will use music technology to produce a composition in response to a given brief. Unit 5: Professional Practice in the Music Industry (Externally Assessed) Learners explore what it is that makes someone a professional in the music industry and how to put forward a bid for work. Unit 22: Music Software Skills Learners explore and carry out audio editing, controlling Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) data and mixing a multi-track recording using music production software.
