In AS students study units on changing physical environments (climate, hydrology and tectonics) and changing human environments (population and settlement). In A level students study contemporary themes (coasts and development), sustainability and undertake a research project. This course provides a basis for a wide variety of career opportunities e.g. planner, cartographer, social worker, estate agent, housing officer, aid worker, transport manager, retailer, travel agent, tourism officer, environmental consultant, conservation officer, pollution analyst, weather presenter, teacher etc. Further education includes BA/BSC in Geography/Environmental science/Geology or related degree subjects.
