Cake Decorating - Sugarcraft - The Basics

This course is ideal for anyone interested in learning how to decorate simple celebration cakes. During this course you will be introduced to working with both sugarpaste and flowerpaste and how to colour the icings. You will learn how to ice both round and square cakes and make a range of decoration including a starburst and an edible ribbon and bow. You will also learn how to make a model teddy bear and unwired roses., , At the end of the course you should be able to:, - colour both sugarpaste and flowerpaste, - ice both a round cake and a square cake, - make a starburst, - make an edible ribbon and bow, - make a model teddy bear, - make unwired roses, - use all tools and equipment safely, This course is suitable for anyone interested in learning how to decorate celebration cakes. It is suitable for complete beginners or those with a little experience of cake decorating. A basic knowledge of baking and of the different types of icing might be useful but is not essential.
