This 'Family History - Internet Research' course in Gravesend will explore ways to use the Internet in order to find out about your family history. Practical demonstrations of online subscription services will be given during the class but it will be up to students to log onto these services at home or in a local library to complete their research and to carry out homework., , This course will introduce you to the main areas of research e.g. civil records and censuses (parish registers, if time allows). Guidance will be given on how to develop Internet search skills relevant to family history. Anyone with an interest in finding out more about their British roots and placing their ancestors into an historical context.
