This course will give students an insight into the skills required to restore furniture correctly. , By the end of the course you will be able to :-, - Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, , -Complete a French polish, - Demonstrate an understanding of how to revitalise old finishes, -Make repairs to timber and veneers using traditional methods and materials, , Students will need to be motivated to develop their creative skills and enhance/develop personal skills. Students may undertake critical reflection and evaluation whilst on the course., , This course will enable students to work on their own projects and work at their own speed. The tutor will teach students the relevant techniques and provide general advice on developing and completing projects., , Students taking the course will need to be able to interpret the tasks given to them, communicate clearly with others and manage their own time., For beginners and those who have some prior experience with furniture restoration. , , , , This course may not be suitable for absolute beginners as the class is likely to contain students with a wide range of abilities.
