On this course you will have the opportunity to experience different stitching techniques such as, Stumpwork, Blackwork or Whitework and Appliqué. , , You will also be able to try out a range of traditional embroidery stitches with a variety of threads and fabrics and be given advice about how you could utilise them to include book making and book covers, miniature gardens or landscapes. Students may elect to work on pieces of their own work independently, with guidance from the tutor. This course is for anyone interested in learning about Hand Embroidery and learning the skills required to produce a quality piece of work. It is for beginners and for those with a little some experience.
