This Award provides the knowledge to equip learners with an understanding of the Health & Social Care and Children and Young People's sector and their role within it. It covers areas such as statutory responsibilities and rights of employees and employers. Awareness of own occupational role and how it fits within the sector, and agreed ways of working with employers. To achive this qualification learners must achieve 3 credits from the mandatory units .

This will be planned with a Tutor who will arrange visits on site for Assessments, Training and Portfolio Building. Collecting evidence within the workplace such as observation, statements and product evidence from the candidate. This will be on a 121 basis tailored to the candidates needs.
