This qualification is nationally recognised and will prepare you for employment as a Salon Junior/Assistant or for progression on to Level 2 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy. The course is broken down into several units which cover numerous practical skills such as shampooing and conditioning, blow drying, facials, manicures, pedicures and make-up. You will have a Personal Tutor who will be responsible for course guidance and general support. Alongside the main course you will study Functional skills in Maths and English at an appropriate level and also Employability skills. Both courses compliment the main area of study, building on existing skills and assist with career progression.
