At AS level you will study six literary texts over one year. Module 1 - (coursework) - A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare) and one other play. You will begin studying these texts in September and hand in both essays (1200 words each) by the end of November. The focus of this module is COMEDY. Module 2 - (2 hour June exam) - The Great Gatsby (prose); Enduring Love (prose); 6 poems by Tennyson (poetry); 6 poems by Robert Browning (poetry). You will begin studying the texts when the coursework is finished.
