You will study topics such as: Language Development in Children, Accent and Dialect, the Changes in Language Across Time, Spoken Language and Political Correctness. There are two modules at AS level and a further two if you go on to study for a full A level. These four modules cover a wide range of topics including analysis and investigation of different kinds of writing; language development in children; accent and dialect; the changes in language across time; spoken language and political correctness. 40% of the marks are coursework generated. For the AS: Module 1 - Representation and Language (2000 word CW folder) - You will begin this module in September and all coursework will be finished by Christmas.
