This programme is suitable for you if you have a solid grounding in the principles of day-to-day bookkeeping and if you wish to extend your skills and knowledge to the financial and management accounting issues involved at the end of accounting periods. The Level 3 Programme starts to move away from recording past events and starts to explore elements of planning and decision-making. The Accounts Preparation and Prepare Final Accounts modules examine the process of making end of year adjustments to the trial balance and producing the Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position. Costs & Revenues is an extension of the Basic Costing on Level 2 and examines how businesses measure/control their costs and use cost information to make decisions. Indirect Tax looks at VAT and you will gain knowledge of the regulations, as well as learning how to complete a VAT Return. Professional Ethics examines morals and behaviour in an accounts or financial environment. The Spreadsheet Software module will cover a wide range of the main functions of the Excel Spreadsheet package including construction of spreadsheets, manipulation of data and presentation of information.
