This course is ideal if you wish to study part-time on a Level 2 course, covering both the practical and academic aspects of engineering. It is the equivalent to 2 GCSEs. It is designed as a stepping stone if you have not achieved the entry requirements for the Pearson BTEC National Certificate. The course is made up of 2 core (mandatory) units and 3 optional (specialist) units. Mandatory Units are: - Working practices in engineering, and - Using and interpreting engineering information.
