This programme is designed for those of you who have successfully completed a level 2 beauty programme and want to gain the skills required to become a top class level 3 beauty therapist and have the opportunity to gain employment in the Industry. Your programme of study is tailored to meet the needs of industry, as well as yours, to develop you to become an exceptional therapist. You will be required to attend college classes and undertake work related activities and work related educational visits as part of your programme of study. On completion of the programme you will have: - Developed an awareness of the study skills necessary to attain a Level 3; - Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques; - An overview of general laws, legislations linked to the specific subject areas; - A remedial knowledge of human anatomy and physiology; - The ability to progress into employment or progress to level 4; - Experienced events, training and trips to enhance your skills, knowledge and experience.

Name: BEAUTY THERAPY (QCF) L3 NVQ DIPLOMA Qualification title: NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy - General (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Observed treatments in a realistic salon environment, online exams and written tasks. Compulsory subjects include: - Unit 301: Working with colleagues within the beauty-related industries (2 credits); - Unit 302: Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon (4 credits); - Unit 303: Client care and communication in beauty related industries (3 credits); - Unit 304: Promote and sell products and services to clients (4 credits); - Unit 305: Provide body massage (9 credits); - Unit 306: Provide facial electrotherapy treatments (11 credits); - Unit 307: Provide body electrotherapy treatments (11 credits). Option A: - Unit 308: Provide electrical epilation (11 credits); - Unit 321: Apply micro-dermabrasion (4 credits). Option B: - Unit 313: Provide self-tanning (2 credits); - Unit 321: Apply micro-dermabrasion (4 credits); - Unit 322: Apply stone therapy massage (9 credits).
