You may be a school leaver with Grade B and above in Maths, Grade C in English and Double Science or progressing from BTEC 1st Diploma/GNVQ Intermediate with merit in Maths and Science. Those in work with a good craft qualification such as 236 part 2 or Electronic Servicing 224 or 7261. This course is a technician course of two years with units that include: Engineering Maths; Electrical & Electronic Principles; Electronics; Electrical Technology; Health and Safety; Business Systems; Engineering Project. Students will partake in practical and theoretical solutions to electrical and electronic engineering. The units are designed to give a broad range of subjects in electrical and electronic engineering as well as equipping students to broaden their minds to general engineering solutions. The students must realise that there is a wide use of mathematics within this engineering course.
