If youhave no formal qualifications and want to work in the Health / Care Professions, such as Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedics and many others (excluding Medicine,Veterinary), then this course will be the start of an exciting journey for you. This is an enjoyable `hands on` Level 1 Science course that provides an introduction to the study of Science . It is a vocationally related qualification that focuses on the development of practical skills and underpinning knowledge in Science. You will carry out practical investigations and in doing so learn about the basic principles of biology, physics and chemistry. You will also have a chance to improve and study for Maths and English qualifications. On successful completion, you may progress to the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Applied Science (L2 Access)provided your Maths, English and attendance are at an appropriate level.
