English Literature WJEC GCE A2-level

UPDATED 20160111 10:16:40

English Literature is a highly academic and traditional subject regarded highly by all universities and prospective employers which is why it is one of the facilitator subjects to apply to a Russell Group university. Those of you who immerse yourself in the literary world will find yourself angered by political injustice, intrigued by how responsive fiction is to history, amazed by the science and mathematics hidden beneath the words and impressed by the power of the creative world. As an individual and communal academic you will deconstruct texts and see how expertly and subtly writers have used techniques to represent their views. Yet, once the literature is in your hands the power is yours to explore theories by charting literary patterns.
