The focus of Sociology is people in society. We examine research which has been carried out by sociologists and others into human behaviour in groups. We are all members of distinct social groups (ethnic, gender, social class and age etc.). We examine how an individual s social background can affect their life chances. You may also be interested in taking this course to support you in your professional career in research, law, education, health and social care or marketing. Entry requirements At least 5 A*- C grades at GCSE, including a designated B grade with an average GCSE Score of at least 5. Designated B grades include; English language, Geography and History.
