This qualification prepares you to set up a home-based childcare setting as a registered childminder. It is also suitable if you wish to be employed in a home-based childcare setting, eg as a childminding assistant, nanny or au pair. The course includes subjects such as legislation and safeguarding, day-to-day routines, learning and development, and business planning. The CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare (QCF) has been developed in collaboration with the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).
