Course Content:In this course you will learn how to manipulate clay in order to create expressive character models.This course will focus on modelling a characters face. It will give you a basic understanding of the underlying structures of the face which will help you translate the reference image (image of the subject you wish to sculpt) into an accurate model.The model will only be the front half of the head and will be designed in such a way as can be hung on a wall.Once the modelling is done, the clay will be air dried for a week (approx.) and then fired in the kiln. This will turn the clay into a ceramic at which point it is yours to decorate as you wish.In this course you will learn:|Basic facial anatomy|Clay preparation|How to model with water based clay|Preparing the model for the kilnPlease be aware that, although fine, long nails can make clay modelling troublesome.Length:4 weeks.Suitability:This course is for anyone with an interest in ceramics, you do not need to have an
