The BTEC National is a vocational course which covers general and specialised aspects of IT. On the Diploma, students will study 18 units over two years and achieve a qualification equivalent to 3 A Levels. On the Subsidiary, students will study 6 units in their first year. If suitable they may then progress onto the second year to study a further 6 units to achieve the National Diploma equivalent to 2 A levels. Students take several core units and then, dependent on intake, may follow one of the specialised routes:BusinessHere students will look at the impact IT has had on the Business world and how it can be used in the future.
