This work related course includes an element of hands on practical work. You progress by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. It introduces you to the employment area you have chosen and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work related qualification. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in the IT industry or who are progressing from appropriate Level 1 courses. You will study the following three mandatory units: * The Online Word (Timed Assessment) * Technology Systems (Timed Assessment) * A Digital Portfolio and four optional units which might include: * Software Development * Web Development * Installing and Maintaining Computer Hardware * Installing and Maintaining Computer Software * IT Security All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills.
