The UK has a diverse economy supported by small, medium and large businesses. Business activity includes a wide range of opportunities in fields such as manufacturing, retailing and a host of service sector industries. People working in business may be involved in anything from fashion merchandising to digital marketing. Whatever career path you follow in business, the knowledge, skills and attitudes you will develop as part of the Level 3 Business and Enterprise course will be a vital springboard for your future success. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who wish to progress to University or would like a career in accounting, banking, human resources, management, marketing, recruitment, law or retail. Past students have provided much positive feedback regarding the value of the course. Recently, students have participated in a real life recruitment activity which involved interviewing and selecting an applicant for a senior post. Former student David Mace stated 'I developed a lot of interpersonal skills when asking questions and listening to the candidates, I also gained knowledge of how the college recruits and what they do to choose who should take up a position. This experience will be invaluable to me in the future'. You will study 18 units over 2 years covering areas such as: * The Business Environment * Business Resources * Marketing * Communication * Accounting * Human Resource Management You will also be members of the LMC Enterprise and Leadership Academy taking part in challenging activities and competitions to develop your entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Past students won the Northwest Entrepreneur Live 2012 competition beating other College and Sixth Form groups across the northwest. Current students have participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Week and the BASE accounting competition.
