This is a one year full time course which examines various aspects of business practices. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic work place situations. The course introduces students to a range of business functions and provides a firm foundation to go on to a more advanced qualification. The course is suitable for school leavers who would like a career in business, retail, administration or wish to progress onto a level 3 qualification. You will study the nature and activity of a variety of business organisations and develop knowledge of working in a team, marketing and finance in business. All LMC students will receive tutorial support. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study Functional English and Maths qualifications or GCSE Maths, English if not already awarded an A*-C in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into Further or Higher education, training or employment.
