Printmaking Beginners: Etching II

Further explore traditional etching techniques using soft ground and deep etching to produce plates that use tone, line and texture to investigate these complementary techniques. Print using multi-colour intaglio and relief methods.

Entry requirements

Please bring: pencils, a small paintbrush and a sketchbook or notebook. Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, cleaning materials, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper, etching plates/ lino blocks etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price.
