City & Guilds Photography Level 1

City & Guilds Photography Level 1 is ideal if you are interested in learning basic photography skills and knowledge. You will learn how to use your camera, study aspects of image capture including composition and subject matter, and look at different computer editing software. You will produce three assignments. Knowledge and skills gained will support progression to level 2 and 3. You require your own camera with manual settings. Printing and presentation costs are not included.

Students should bring a pen and notepad, as you will need to take or annotate notes. You will need to bring your own Digital SLR camera and the instruction manual, tripod, filters and lenses. Equipment needs will be discussed early in the course. Furthermore, students will need a storage device such as USB Memory stick or mini hard drive to bring images in.
