Modern Vintage Fashion: Dior to Vivienne Westwood

UPDATED 20160107 08:45:35

The post war years of the 1950s and beyond saw a return to the luxury of fashion. The corseted and crinolined styles created by Christain Dior and Charles James revisited the techniques of bygone eras, but with a decidedly modern approach. See how the work of these fashion greats and others continue to inspire today's influential designers, like Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lacroix and Comme des Garcons. You can then create your own garment, working from an original design or interpret one with a modern twist. Experience of clothing construction and working with patterns is essential.
