The British theatre scene is traditionally thought of as a writer led environment, belonging to the individual, but the reality is that more and more successful projects are embracing the importance of the group as creator, with input in the creative process from all involved. In this workshop, through exercises in movement, devising and creative process (many of which having their roots in the Lecoq pedagogy), we examine the creative potential and poetry of the ensemble: The group as creator, author and critique. And from their theatrical roots, we can begin to imagine how these skills might have a wider application through all walks of life. This workshop will be led by Infectious Theatre's artistic director Jen Pearcy-Edwards and Robin Guiver (Warhorse, Theatre Ad Infinitum), who both trained at LISPA.
