The BTEC Health and Social Care course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding that underpin the National Occupational Standards in Health and Social Care. The course will prepare learners for employment in the sectors or for higher education. We offer three qualifications at The Arnewood School: • Edexcel BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Health and Social Care. This is equivalent to an AS and involves two mandatory units, one externally assessed. • Edexcel BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care. This is equivalent to one A-level and involves three mandatory units & one optional unit, two are externally assessed. • Edexcel BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Health and Social Care. This is equivalent to two A-levels and involves six mandatory units, two optional units with three being externally assessed.
