AS/A2 Fashion & Textiles

UPDATED 20160106 15:36:31

Set your creative side free with real hands-on work. The course helps you to experiment with a broad range of materials and techniques. You'll use traditional and modern ideas including constructed, knitted, woven, printed and embroidered materials. This is for students who are keen to develop their visual skills and take risks with their work. There are visits to galleries, museums, workshops and studios throughout the course. You will work with fabrics, dyes, sewing equipment, heat tools, felting, knitting, printing, batik, felt making and non-traditional textiles techniques. Final pieces can be in the form of a fashion garment, wall hanging, sculpture or a length of fabric/wallpaper and can use one or more of the techniques and media.
