AS/A2 Geography

You will gain a solid grounding in Physical and Human Geography. With an exciting mix of theory and fieldwork, it offers you the freedom at A2 to choose your own area of research. Topics you'll cover include: rivers and flood management, coastal environments, population change, and energy issues. You will develop a variety of skills as you study contemporary geographical issues. These include investigative, statistical, graphical and cartographic techniques. The course will broaden and deepen your existing knowledge. You will have the opportunity to go on a field trip to Blencathra in the Lake District as part of the Unit 2 course.
